Samantha Fetner Baggett is a small town Alabama girl with big dreams! She now resides in her hometown with her husband, Zack. She graduated as Valedictorian of Wadley High School in 2008. While in high school, Samantha dual-enrolled at Southern Union State Community College where she completed most of prerequisites prior to continuing her education at Auburn University in the fall of 2008.
Mrs.Baggett graduated with Bachelor of Science in Nursing May 2011. She has nursing experience in emergency room, medical surgical units, labor and delivery unit/nursery, surgery, cardiac catherization lab, critical care and pediatrics. She was awarded multiple awards and scholarships including: Auburn University Blue Jean Ball Scholarship, Lila White Fellowship, Robert E. and Eugenia D. Adams Endowed Scholarship, Auburn University Leadership and Achievement Scholarship.
Mrs.Baggett completed her MSN in Nursing Education May of 2013 and continued to serve as an interactive educator for undergraduate nursing students by serving as a lecturer and standardized patient for simulations. During this time, she continued her education at Auburn University and graduated in May 2014 with a MSN, Family Nurse Practitioner.
Throughout her academic career, Mrs. Baggett has served on various committees and participated in multiple activities to gain knowledge of nursing research and education. These include: Auburn University School of Nursing MSN Evaluation Committee, Auburn University Graduate Student Council, Auburn University School of Nursing BSN Evaluation Committee, Auburn University School of Nursing Class President, Auburn University School of Nursing Senator, Auburn University Graduate Student Council, Auburn University Drug Free Campus Committee member and Auburn University Nursing Christian Fellowship Organization President. She is also an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and Gamma Beta Phi Society. Mrs. Baggett has attended and presented at International Nursing conferences. She is also a published peer-reviewed author for nursing journals.
Samantha is a highly motivated team player who is dependable, trustworthy, and caring. Throughout her education and clinical experience she has also nurtured qualities such as being resourceful, adaptable and self-directed with the ability to use critical thinking strategies, organization skills, and effective therapeutic communication.
