USE ETHICAL PRINCIPLES IN DECISIONS REGARDING ISSUES RELATED TO INDIVIDUALS, POPULATIONS AND HEALTH CARE DELIVERY SYSTEMS.
As advanced practice health providers, we must understand the U.S. health care delivery system at micro and macro levels, problems, principles and the alternatives for managing problems in a systematic manner. Health policy, economic, and ethical principles and the relationship of these concepts to advocacy and leadership roles were explored throughout my academic career.
I am also a member of Gamma Beta Phi Society which recognizes and encourages excellence in education, promotes the development of leadership ability and character in its members. Also this society fosters, disseminates and improves education through appropriate service projects. The picture was taken at my induction ceremony.

The speakers and presentations this week emphasized nursing's leadership role in transforming health care systems. The experience provided educational tools that I can use in advocating for the mental health population of clients in primary care that we see everyday!
